5 Granny Smith apples
9 oz. pkg. yellow cake mix (Jiffy brand)
2 Tbsp. sugar
vanilla ice cream
melted butter or margarine
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel, core and slice apples. Place slices in
a deep-dish pie plate or deep-dish stone baker (works best). Combine
cake mix, sugar, cinnamon, butter and nuts in a bowl and mix until
crumbly. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or
until apples are tender. Serve warm, topped with ice cream
