2 c. flour 2 c. sugar 2 sticks butter 3 Tbsp. cocoa 1 c. water 1/2 c. buttermilk 2 eggs 1 tsp. soda Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix flour and sugar together in mixing bowl. Combine butter, cocoa and water in saucepan; bring to a boil; remove from heat and cool slightly before pouring over flour mixture; beat well. Add milk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Pour into greased and floured sheet pan. Bake 20 to 35 minutes until done. If not done in center, turn oven off and let stand a few more minutes. Icing: 1 stick butter 1 Tbsp. cocoa 1 box confectioners sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Combine first 3 ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil (stirring). Remove from heat and pour into small mixing bowl. Add 1 box confectioners sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Pour over warm cake.
