2 c. plain flour 2 sticks margarine, softened 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 2 Tbsp. lemon extract 1/2 tsp. soda 1 c. buttermilk 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. In large mixing bowl mix sugar and margarine until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. In a 2-cup container, stir soda into buttermilk quickly. Add to mixture alternately with flour mixture. Add lemon extract. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until done and brown. Glaze: 2 1/2 c. powdered sugar 5 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice 5 Tbsp. fresh orange juice 1/2 tsp. salt Mix all ingredients well until sugar has dissolved. Pour over hot cake.
