4 crisp poppy seed Kaiser rolls
1 lb. deli roast beef
yellow mustard to taste
1 medium onion, sliced in crescents
1 bell pepper, seeded and sliced
2 tomatoes, diced
generous pinch oregano
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 clove minced garlic
In a heavy skillet, heat garlic and onion until soft. Add the
bell pepper, tomato, oregano and red pepper; cook over low heat
for 20 minutes. Spread rolls (split) with mustard, layer thin
sliced roast beef on each. Season with salt and pepper; top with
onion sauce then top with top of roll. As an alternative serve
sauce on the side. Yields 4 sandwiches.
