4 c. self-rising flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
6 oz. shortening (NOT OIL)
2 c. buttermilk
Combine dry ingredients; cut in shortening. Add buttermilk
and mix lightly. DO NOT KNEAD. Roll out and cut with large cutter.
Bake at 450 degrees until brown. Brush with melted butter. Yields more
than you can count.
