1/3 c. shortening
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. milk
2 c. unsifted flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Cream shortening, sugar and egg. Add flour, baking powder
and salt alternately with milk. Put in muffin pan. Bake at 425 degrees
for 12 to 15 minutes. Yields 12 large muffins.
