PUMPKIN APPLE PIE


Apple Layer:
1/3 c. dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. water
2 Tbsp. margarine
3 c. sliced apples

Mix and blend well the first 6 ingredients, then bring to
boil until thickened. Then add apples and cook 4 minutes. Pour
into 9-inch pie shell.

Pumpkin Layer:
3/4 c. pumpkin
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1 egg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar

Blend together and pour over apples. Bake at 425 degrees for 20
minutes, then 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
Good with whipped topping. Yields 8 servings.
