2 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 c. (2 sticks) soft butter or margarine 3/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips (I add a few more) 1 3/4 c. chopped nuts (do not chop nuts too much) Mix first 3 ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Beat sugar and butter together. Add vanilla and eggs one at a time. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in nuts and chips. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
