BERRIES TRIFLE

fresh berries (purchase in season)
ladyfingers
1 c. heavy cream
1 Tbsp. sugar
few drops vanilla

Whip heavy cream with sugar. Add vanilla. Do not overwhip.
Place ladyfingers in large wine glasses in an upright position.
Add 1 spoon of whipped cream in center.

Mix the berries together with a little strawberry syrup and 2
tablespoons water. If using strawberries, quarter them. If using
other berries, such as raspberries, blackberries or blueberries,
leave them whole. Layer the berries and cream in the wine glass
until the glass is full. End with the cream and top with a whole
berry and a little mint, if desired.
