1 lb. ground hamburger, ground turkey, or Italian sausage
1 small onion, chopped
1 small bell pepper, chopped
28-oz. can spaghetti sauce
6-oz. can diced tomatoes
2 tsp. Italian seasoning
3 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. basil
salt and pepper to taste
7 oz. can mushrooms (opt.)
Brown meat, onion, and bell pepper in skillet; drain and empty into
slow cooker. Mix all other ingredients and cook on low 6-8 hours.
Serve over pasta.
