Pat steaks dry and lightly cover with garlic salt and Cavenders. Soak wood chips 1-2 hours; drain chips and place on top of red hot coals. Wrap chips in aluminum foil if using a gas grill. Cook steaks to desired choice, rare, medium rare, medium, or well done. Once steaks are on grill, close the top and set vents so the meat will benefit from the smoke.
