1 1/4 lbs. lean deer meat 1 can cream of mushroom soup (we use the kind with roasted garlic) 1 can cream of celery soup 3 soup cans water 1 large onion, sliced 5-6 small potatoes, sliced (we prefer red potatoes) 1 can corn, drained 1 bag shredded carrots 1 can mushrooms, drained 1 can butter beans 1 lb. Hardwood smoked bacon 1 box long-grain wild rice (Rice-a-Roni with seasoning) In large pot, boil deer meat on stove for approximately 20 minutes (can boil frozen). While boiling meat, prepare crock pot by putting in soups and water; stir. Add all vegetables, mixing while adding each. Add deer to crock pot and top with whole slab bacon (don't have to pull apart). Cook on low 12 hours and stir frequently. Around 10 hours, add more water if needed. Prior to serving, add wild rice and seasoning plus 1/2 soup can water (only add water if mixture is not soupy). Allow to cook an additional 30 minutes.
