1/2 tsp. grated onion 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine 2 Tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt dash pepper 1/2 c. milk 1/2 c. sour cream 2 16-oz. cans French style green beans, drained 1 c. (4 oz.) process Swiss cheese The recipe calls for 1/3 c. corn flakes and 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine for the topping, but I like the French Fried Onion Rings. In skillet, cook onion in butter for one minute. Blend in flour, sugar, salt, and pepper. Add milk. Cook until thick and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream and drained green beans. Layer 1/2 mixture, then cheese, mixture and then cheese again. Cook at 400 for 20 minutes. I did it 40 minutes at 350 and it was fine. Sprinkle onions on top and cook 6 more minutes.
