1 1/2 c. warm milk 2 pkgs. yeast 1/2 c. shortening 1 tsp. salt 4 c. plain flour 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg, beaten Mix yeast in warm milk and let stand 5 minutes. Add other ingredients and stir until mixed well. Let rise 15 minutes. Push down with a spoon and let rise 15 minutes more. Shape into rolls. Let rise for 15 minutes.
