1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. Crisco 2 c. sweet milk 1 pkg. dry yeast 2 1/2 c. flour 1 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder In a small pan, heat sugar, Crisco, and milk until the Crisco melts. Pour into a bowl and let set until lukewarm. Add yeast; dissolve. Add 2 1/2 cups flour and mix with an electric mixer. Let mixture set for 1 hour. Combine 1 cup flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix well, then put into first mixture and stir with spoon. Place in large container with top and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Roll out on floured board. Cut out biscuits and let rise approximately 1 hour. Bake in 400 oven for 20 minutes.
