2 eggs 1 c. buttermilk 1 c. sweet milk 2 Tbsp. butter, melted 1/3 c. corn meal 1/2 tsp. soda 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt Beat eggs with buttermilk and sweet milk. Melt butter in pan that bread is to be baked in. Sift corn meal, soda, baking powder, and salt; add to eggs and milk. Have oven hot before adding dry ingredients to liquids. Have greased pan or dish hot before adding batter bread. Put in oven preheated to 450 and bake until firm in center. Serve at once.
