SPOONBREAD

1 stick margarine
3 c. milk
2/3 c. plain cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. sugar
3 eggs

Melt butter in milk. Sift together cornmeal, salt, baking powder,
and sugar into well beaten eggs. Pour small amount of hot milk
mixture into egg mixture and stir. Add this to remainder of milk
mixture. Cook until thick, stirring continuously. Put into
greased baking dish and cook at 400 for 30-40 minutes.
