COFFEE CAKE

2 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. Wesson oil (scant)
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. chopped nuts
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/3 c. buttermilk

Mix flour, salt, nutmeg, oil, brown sugar, and sugar. Remove 1 cup
and add cinnamon to that, along with nuts. Reserve for topping.
In a separate bowl, combine 2 beaten eggs, baking powder, baking
soda, and buttermilk. Add mixture to large bowl; mix well. Pour
into 2 (8" or 9") cake pans, greased and floured. Sprinkle the
reserved topping over cakes. Bake at 325 for 30-35 minutes.
