2 sticks butter 1/2 c. buttered flavored Crisco 1 lb. brown sugar 1 c. white sugar 5 eggs 3 c. plain flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla Blend butter, Crisco, and sugars. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder. Add, alternating with milk. Add vanilla. Bake at 325 for 1 to 1 1/4 hours in tube pan.
