5 FLAVOR POUND CAKE & GLAZE

3 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
5 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. rum flavoring
1 tsp. almond flavoring

In medium bowl cream sugar, butter, and shortening. In large bowl
mix flour, salt, and baking powder. In small bowl beat eggs until
lemon colored. Add eggs to sugar mixture, then flour, milk, and
flavorings. Blend well. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at
350 for 1 1/2 hours.

Glaze
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 tsp. rum flavoring
1 tsp. almond flavoring

Mix water, sugar, and flavorings in small saucepan. Heat until
sugar is dissolved. As soon as cake is taken out of oven, spoon
glaze over top of cake. Let cool, then remove cake from pan.
