PILGRIM POUND CAKE

2 sticks creamy margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sweet milk
2 Tbsp. lemon extract

Cream butter, shortening, and sugar well. Add eggs; beat well. Add
flour, salt, milk, and flavoring. Beat well. Pour into well
greased and floured cake mold. USE IRON MOLD. Set in a COLD oven,
then turn stove on to 300. Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours. DO NOT OPEN THE
DOOR.
