1/2 c. shortening
2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
5 whole eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
7-oz. 7-UP

Cream shortening, butter, and sugar well. Add eggs and continue
beating. Add flour gradually and continue beating. Add vanilla
and lemon flavorings. Lastly, add 7-UP very slowly and continue
beating. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan (can use Baker's
Joy NOT Pam). Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Watch
closely; if top begins browning too soon, cover lightly with foil.
