1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
1 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. cocoa, divided
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. hot water
Preheat oven to 350. Heat a pot of water on stove to just under a
simmer. In bowl mix 3/4 c. sugar, flour, and 1/4 c. cocoa. Stir
in milk, melted butter, and vanilla; mix until smooth. Pour into
greased 2 qt. dish.
In small bowl, mix 1/2 c. sugar and 1/4 c. cocoa; pour over mix
evenly. Pour in hot water; DO NOT STIR. Bake 35-40 minutes. Let
stand 15 minutes before eating.
