EASY FRUIT COBBLER

1 stick butter
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
fresh fruit (peaches, apples, blackberries, etc.) sweetened to taste

Melt butter in baking dish. Mix dry ingredients with milk and beat
well. Pour mixture into baking dish over melted butter - do not
stir. Cover mixture with fresh fruit. Bake at 375 until pastry
(which will rise to the top) is golden brown.
