COOKED FUDGE FROSTING

(In Memory of Wes Williams)

2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. milk

Combine ingredients in medium-sized heavy saucepan, stirring while
sugar dissolves and butter melts. Let mixture come to a boil,
stirring continuously. Boil for 1 minute; remove from heat. Place
in a pan of ice water and continue to stir as frosting cools, being
careful not to let water get into frosting. As it begins to become
firm, pour over the cake and spread.
