1/4 c. whole cloves 3 3" cinnamon sticks 3 bay leaves 1 qt. water 1/2 lemon, halved 1/2 orange, halved Combine all ingredients in a large sauce pan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered as long as desired, adding water as needed. Mixture may be stored in refrigerator for several days and re-used. Just add water as it boils away.
