BAKED POTATO SOUP

5 large baked potatoes
1/4 c. butter
1 chopped onion
1/3 c. flour
1 qt. half and half
3 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. white pepper
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
8 cooked and crumbled bacon slices

Peel potatoes; mash them with a fork. Melt butter in a Dutch oven
over medium heat. Sauté onion until tender. After that, add the
flour and stir until smooth. Stir in potatoes, half and half, milk,
salt and pepper. Cook over low heat until it is thoroughly heated.
Top each serving with cheese and bacon.
