1 1/2 lb. tenderized boneless round steak
1 (4 serving size) envelope dry onion soup mix
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained (reserve liquid)
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. cooking sherry or can use apple juice
3 c. hot cooked rice
Cut steak into 6 pieces; place in a buttered baking pan. Sprinkle
with soup mix. Add mushrooms. Blend soup, sherry or apple juice and
liquid from mushrooms; pour over steak. Cover and bake in 375 degrees oven
for 1 hour 15 minutes, or until steak is tender. Serve over hot
rice. Yields 6 servings.
