BUTTERMILK CAKE

2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/4 tsp. soda
3/4 c. oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Glaze:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
1 stick margarine

Mix dry ingredients. Beat eggs well; mix with oil, buttermilk and
vanilla. Pour into dry ingredients. Bake in 9 x 13 pan at 325 degrees.

Glaze: Mix margarine; add sugar, buttermilk and syrup. Bring to
boil slowly; boil for 2 minutes. Pour over hot cake. May use 1/2
ingredients for glaze.
