2 sticks margarine 1 c. water 4 Tbsp. cocoa 2 c. all-purpose flour 2 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. soda 2 eggs 1/2 c. sour cream 1 c. nuts (optional) Icing: 1 1/2 sticks margarine 6 Tbsp. cocoa 6 Tbsp. milk 1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla nuts (optional) In a saucepan, bring the first 3 ingredients to a boil. Add the next 4 ingredients. While boiling, mix together eggs and sour cream; add to the boiling ingredients. Pour onto a greased and floured cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. (You can add nuts to the cake mix, if you would like.) Icing: While the cake is baking, mix together all ingredients for icing, except nuts, in a saucepan over medium heat. Pour icing over the cake as soon as you take it from the oven. Do not let cool first. Add nuts, if desired. I like walnuts. Submitted for Hope Mullican.
