3/4 c. shortening 1 stick butter 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt Place shortening, butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in big bowl; mix with mixer until smooth. In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder and salt. Stir dry ingredients in first bowl with a spoon. Chill 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Frost when cool.
