BANANA PUDDING

1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 c. cold water
1 (3.4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
2 c. whipping cream, whipped
about 1/2 box vanilla wafers (do not use low-fat wafers)
3 to 5 medium bananas (medium ripe)

In large mixing bowl, combine Eagle Brand condensed milk and water;
stir lightly until well blended. Add pudding mix; beat with wire
whisk until well blended. Cool 5 minutes or so in refrigerator.
Whip the whipping cream with electric mixer until medium thickness
(about the thickness of Cool Whip). Lightly fold whipped cream into
chilled pudding mixture. Spoon 1 cup or so pudding mixture into 2
1/2-quart glass serving bowl. Top with vanilla wafers and line the
sides. (DON'T PUT TOO MANY WAFERS OR THE PUDDING WILL BE DRY.)
Slice bananas on top of wafers and begin with pudding again. Repeat
layering, ending with pudding mixture. Garnish with crushed vanilla
wafers (optional). Chill thoroughly. Store leftovers covered in
refrigerator.
