3 1/2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 1/3 c. sugar 3 eggs, separated 3 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 (12 oz.) pkg. vanilla wafers 6 bananas (ripe) salt Meringue: 1/4 c. sugar 2 Tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract Mix flour, sugar and dash of salt together in heavy saucepan. Beat egg yolks and milk until well blended; pour into mixture. Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract. Layer 1/2 package wafers; slice 3 bananas and layer over wafers. Pour half of custard over bananas. Repeat again. Beat egg whites until foamy; gradually add sugar. Stiff peaks will form. Add vanilla extract. Put over pudding mixture. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes.
