1 (6-ounce) Brie round 2/3 cup light brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 cup pecan halves, toasted 1 cup heavy cream 1 loaf French bread, heated and slice diagonally, 1/2-inch thick Slice top off cheese with sharp knife. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cream, and pepper. Bring to a boil and reduce by half. Add pecans and simmer until slightly thickened. Place cheese on serving plate. Pour the hot pecan mixture over cheese and let stand for 5 minutes. Serve with French bread slices. Yield: 10 servings.
