CHEESE STRAWS

1 (10-ounce) block extra sharp Cheddar cheese,
grated
2 sticks softened butter
2 scant cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon red cayenne pepper

Mix cheese and flour until the consistency of cornmeal. Add
softened butter and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Roll out dough and
cut into small strips. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at
350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Yield: about 100 Cheese Straws.
