1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
1 stick butter, melted
3 tablespoons sugar
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (9-ounce) container Cool Whip
1 cup sugar
2 small (3-ounce) packages strawberry jello
2 cups boiling water
3 cups sliced fresh strawberries, sugared
Crust: Combine pretzels, butter, and 3 tablespoons sugar and
press in 13x9-inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.
Filling: Combine cream cheese, Cool Whip, and sugar; spread
over cooled crust.
Topping: Combine jello and water, stirring until dissolved.
Allow to cool; then add strawberries. Allow to thicken slightly.
Pour over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until firm.
Yield: 12 servings.
