3 (16-ounce) cans whole green beans, drained
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup bacon drippings
Mix beans and onions together. Bring to a boil vinegar, sugar,
and drippings. Pour over onions and bean. Marinate in
refrigerator for at least 24 hours. Stir 4 times during the 24
hours. Heat in oven at 350 degrees for 40 minutes just before serving.
Yield: 8-10 servings.
