2 pounds potatoes 12 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled 1/4 cup sliced green onions 3 tablespoons butter 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 1/2 cups milk 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon celery seeds 1 cup sharp shredded Cheddar cheese Peel potatoes and cut 1/4-inch slices; cook for 5 minutes in boiling water. Drain. Place in a lightly greased 11x7-inch baking dish. Melt butter in a saucepan; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk, cook over medium heat, stirring until thick and bubbly. Add the rest of the ingredients after removing from heat; stir until cheese melts. Pour over potatoes, cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
