1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs 3/4 cup applesauce 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted 1/4 cup sugar 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon Cream 1/2 cup butter; gradually add 1/2 cup sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in applesauce. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture, and stir just until moistened. Spoon batter into lightly greased miniature muffin pans, filling 2/3's full. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until done. Remove from pan immediately, and dip muffin tops in melted butter. Combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle sugar mixture over each muffin. Yield: About 3 1/2 dozen.
