1 Devils Food Cake mix Cream filling: 1 stick margarine, softened 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening 2/3 cup evaporated milk 1 tablespoon vanilla Icing: 4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate 1 stick margarine 1 box confectioners sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup evaporated milk 2 teaspoons vanilla Make cake according to package directions, cooking in 3 layers. Cream filling: Cream together margarine, sugar, and shortening. Add evaporated milk and vanilla. Beat at high speed about 5-10 minutes until light. Spread between layers. Icing: Melt 4 squares of chocolate and stick of margarine. Add confectioners sugar, salt, evaporated milk, and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Beat well. Ice top and sides. Yield: one 3-layer cake.
