CHOCOLATE SYRUP CAKE


Cake:
1 stick butter, softened
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup self-rising flour
1 can chocolate syrup

Topping:
1/2 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beating well after each one.
Add flour, vanilla, and syrup. Pour into a greased and floured
sheet cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Topping: Bring to boil butter, sugar, and milk. Add chocolate
and nuts. Pour over hot cake.

Yield: 12-16 servings.
