1 cup chocolate wafer cookies, crushed
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons sugar
2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Combine chocolate crumbs, butter, and sugar. Pat into bottom
of 9-inch springform pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Blend
cream cheese with sugar, cocoa, and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a
time, and blend until smooth. Pour into crust and bake at 375 degrees for
20 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes. Combine topping
ingredients. Spread over cheesecake. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes.
Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Yield: one cake.
