1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 egg whites
1 1/4 cups chunky peanut butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
5 (2.1-ounce) Butterfingers, cut into 1/2-inch

Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until
creamy; gradually add sugars, beating well. Add egg whites,
beating well. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla; set aside.
Combine flour, soda, and salt; gradually add to butter mixture,
mixing well. Stir in candy. Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls,
and place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake
at 350 degrees for 11 minutes or until browned. Cool 3 minutes on baking
sheet; transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Yield: 4 dozen
