1/2 pound butter, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1 1/2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar 2 large eggs 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 2 1/2 cups uncooked regular oats 1 cup raisins Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat first 3 ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; add eggs, and beat just until blended. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients in a separate bowl. Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, beating well at low speed after each addition. Add oatmeal, and beat at low speed until blended. Stir in raisins. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned around edges. Remove from oven, and let cool on pans 2-3 minutes. remove cookies to wire racks, and let cool completely. Yield: 2 dozen.
