1 cup sugar 1/4 cup water 1 stick butter 1 (12-ounce) package chocolate morsels 10-12 ounces of pecan halves Place in a deep glass bowl, sugar, water, and butter. Microwave on high 7-13 minutes, (ingredients will mix as it boils). Cook until mixture turns light brown caramel color, not yellow. Spread pecans in a single layer on a greased jelly roll pan. Quickly drizzle and spread sugar mixture over pecans using a metal knife or spatula. Wait one minute and then sprinkle with chocolate morsels. Let chocolate melt and spread smooth.
