1/4 c. sliced almonds
4 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. oil
1/4 head of lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
1/4 bunch romaine lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
2 stalks celery (about 1 cup), chopped
2 green onions with tops, thinly sliced
1 small can mandarin oranges
Cook almonds and sugar in 1 tsp. of oil over low heat, stirring
constantly until almonds are coated. Cool. Break apart. Toss
lettuce and romaine lettuce. Add celery, onions, oranges and
almonds, tossing after each addition.
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. parsley
1/2 tsp. salt
Mix all ingredients. Pour on salad and toss well.
