1 1/2 lbs. flank steak cut into match strips 1 lb broccoli, blanched in hot water for 5 minutes 3 Tbsp. oil 3 Tbsp. fresh oil 2 slices fresh ginger - quarter size 3 cloves garlic fresh mushrooms, chopped 3 green onions, chopped Chinese Pea Pods 1) Slice meat, cook in 3 Tbsp. oil in wok. Discard oil and remove meat from wok. 2) Cook gingerroot and garlic in fresh oil in wok and discard them. To the oil, add broccoli and sauce (recipe below). Add fresh mushrooms (chopped), 3 green onions (chopped) and Chinese pea pods. Stir fry until soft. Add thickening agent (1 tsp. cornstarch mixed with 2 Tbsp. water) to sauce and broccoli. Add meat. Cover and cook at a high temperature for 20 seconds. Serve over rice.
