12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained 1 lb. ground beef 1 onion chopped 1 clove garlic 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dried basil 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/4 tsp. black pepper 3 c. cottage cheese 2 eggs 1/2 c. parmesan cheese, grated 2 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 lb. shredded mozzarella cheese Brown meat and onions. Add garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce, 2 tsp. salt, basil, oregano and 1/4 tsp. black pepper. Simmer for 2 hours. In a separate bowl, combine cottage cheese, eggs, parmesan cheese, parsley, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. black pepper. Layer the sauce, noodles, cottage cheese mixture, and mozzarella cheese in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan beginning and ending with sauce. Sprinkle additional parmesan cheese on top and bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes until top is browned and it bubbles on the edges.
