1 12 oz. can (1 lb.) Italian crushed tomatoes
1 can tomato paste diluted with can of water
1 can tomato puree
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 small basil leaf
1 small bay leaf
1 clove of garlic
In large saucepan, saute garlic in oil. Add tomato paste, puree,
tomatoes and spices. Cover and simmer 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Add browned
meat balls to tomato mixture. Serve over favorite pasta. Garnish
with grated Parmesan cheese.
1 lb. ground chuck
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
1/2 c. Italian bread crumbs
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
Mix all ingredients well. Shape into small balls, brown in olive
oil or vegetable oil. When browned add to tomato sauce mixture.
