OVERNIGHT COFFECAKE

2/3 c. (1 1/3 sticks) margarine
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk

Combine margarine and sugar together in bowl. Add eggs one at a
time, mixing after each addition. Add half of the flour and other
dry ingredients, then half of the buttermilk and mix. Add
remaining flour and dry ingredients and mix. Add remaining
buttermilk and mix. Spread in a greased 13x9. Prepare topping as
directed below and sprinkle over batter. Cover lightly and
refrigerate 8 hours. or overnight. In morning, preheat oven to 350
degrees. Bake in preheated oven 30-35 minutes.

Topping:
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

Prepare topping by combining all ingredients and sprinkle over
batter in the above recipe.
